Modern Fluted Glass Wall Sconce
Meet the Fluted Glass Wall Light – a deep cone of warm smoke-gray glass, ribbed into narrow flutes that run from a brass-tone center out to a scalloped rim.
Why You’ll Love It
- Sculpture on the wall – It stands 8.3 in (21 cm) forward off the wall, so it reads as an object on the wall rather than a fixture in it.
- Light in bands – The ribs break the light into alternating bands of bright and dim and throw a fan of fine shadow onto the wall.
- Warm, amber tone – The glass softens the bulb and keeps the light amber rather than gray.
- Room to breathe – At 9.4 in (24 cm) across, it suits the broad side of a hallway, the wall behind a bed, a stair landing or a living room corner.
- Lights a real space – It lights roughly 54 to 108 sq ft (5 to 10 square meters).
Good to Know
It takes a standard E27 bulb at 5 W. Wipe the glass with a dry, soft cloth. This is a hard-wired, wall-mounted fixture, so unless you are confident with mains wiring and your local rules allow it, have an electrician install it.
