Japanese Tiered Rice Paper Lamp

Meet the Table Lamp with Tiered Rice Paper Shade – a wabi-sabi table lamp in the Japanese paper lantern tradition. The shade is ribbed rice paper folded into three stacked tiers - a slightly imperfect, gourd-like shape that softens under light - held above three slim white metal legs. The LED bulb sits inside the shade and the light comes through the paper in every direction, upward and downward, for a bedroom, a reading corner or a low console. Dust with a dry soft brush and keep the paper away from water.

Why You’ll Love It

Light through paper, not glass – The ribbed rice paper shade diffuses the bulb into an even, warm glow that spills up and down, so nothing in the room casts a hard edge.
Ready to plug in – An E14 LED bulb and a US plug are in the box - out of the packaging, switch on the cord, and it is on.
Small footprint, real presence – About 9.4 in wide and 8.3 in tall, so it fits a nightstand or a shelf while the stacked tiers still read as a piece.
Buy one or a pair – Sold singly or as a set of two for matching bedsides.
