Modern Architect Desk Lamp
The classic drafting lamp in matte black: two spring-balanced steel arms, an exposed central hinge and a clamp that grips a desk, shelf or headboard edge through a padded face so it will not mark timber. Fold the arms back and it tucks almost flat against the desk edge. It takes a standard screw-fit bulb, which you supply – a warm 6–10 W LED keeps the shade cool enough to reposition mid-task.

Is a bulb included?
No. It takes a standard screw-fit bulb, which you supply. A warm-white LED of around 6-10 W keeps the shade cool enough to reposition while it is on.
How thick a desk will the clamp fit?
It opens wide enough for a standard desk or shelf edge of up to about 2 in (5 cm), and grips through a padded face so it does not mark timber.
Can it be used without the clamp?
The clamp is the mount, so it needs an edge to grip - a desk, a shelf or a headboard. There is no weighted base version of this lamp.
Does the head rotate as well as the arms?
Yes. The shade turns on its own joint at the end of the arm, so you can aim the light independently of how the arms are folded.
